Field Engineer, Angel Lopez left a local concrete contractor for an opportunity at our Lithko Mid Atlantic Burg 2 years ago. Lithko’s background and project portfolio appealed to Angel, as well as the ability for upward movement in his career.
Operations Manager, Josue Leon, describes Angel as “dedicated, detailed oriented, and a perfectionist.” No matter how challenging the task is, Angel gives it 100%. When Angel works on embeds or anchor bolts, very little to no remedial work is needed. “I have yet to run into quality issues with his work on any of his jobs.”, Josue explains.
Angel is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the field and he is a team player. He works well with his leads and mentors upcoming coworkers. For instance, he teaches Crew Task Leads how to read other contractors’ drawings. Additionally, he is mentoring Carpenter/Field Engineer assistant, Rodrigo. Rodrigo works alongside him at Virginia Hospital Center and Angel is bringing him up to perform his own line and grade in the future.
Josue sees Angel’s natural career progression in the field, due to his constructability knowledge and his ability to relate to coworkers. We will see Angel running his own crew and projects in the future.
Angel contributes his success at Lithko to his ability to think ahead. He prepares for his day even before it starts, so when the crews show up, they are ready to work.
When Angel is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his wife and their 4-year old son.
