What do you enjoy about working at Lithko? What motivates you to wake up and go to work?
I enjoy the family-like environment we have at Lithko; we have such a talented and close-knit group here in Kentucky. I enjoy being able to be home every night and the flexibility the company gives us to maintain our family and personal lives. As a kid, I loved building things and now as an adult, I get to do it on a daily basis! Ultimately what motivates me the most is my wife and son. I want to be able to look back and tell my son all the projects his dad was involved with while showing him the responsibility and work ethic that was instilled in me at a young age.
What responsibilities did you have when you first started with Lithko? What are your responsibilities now?
When I started with Lithko in 2015, I was hired on as a Project Engineer. I was working directly with Project Coordinators and Project Leads performing document control (RFI’s, Submittals), material procurement responsibility, and helping to maintain the overall flow of the project. Now as senior Project Coordinator here in Central Kentucky, my responsibilities are maintaining the flow of projects, document control, financial responsibility, and manpower coordination (through the Operations Manager and Project Lead). I’m also responsible for training all new coordinators in the Central Kentucky area.
What work challenges excite you?
I enjoy helping others excel/succeed in their roles and working through the adversity we are faced with on a daily basis. I enjoy learning new things and being exposed to the different types of projects we do here at Lithko.
What has been your favorite project?
My favorite project would have to be the Morehead University Dining Hall and Parking Garage. It’s the first project that I was able to be a part of from start to finish, and it was my first structural project. It taught me a lot of what I know today.
What’s something most people don’t know about you?
I am an avid outdoorsman. I love hunting, fishing, snowboarding, and water sports.
