Worker Wednesday: Jordan Pendergraft

What do you enjoy about working at Lithko? What motivates you to wake up and go to work?

I enjoy the team atmosphere! I like that everyone works together to make our projects go as safely and quickly as possible. I also feel proud driving by a finished project and seeing everyone’s hard work come to life in a completed building.

My beautiful fiancé and our four children motivate me to get up and do my job every day.

What responsibilities did you have when you first started with Lithko? What are your responsibilities now?

When I first started at Lithko in 2013, I was a laborer on the Place Finish Crew. My biggest responsibility was making sure the tools stayed clean and were put in the proper location after each pour. Now I am the Place Finish Lead, so my responsibilities have increased. I schedule and coordinate our concrete pours and make sure my crews have everything they need for a successful pour. I am also responsible for watching and maintaining the place finish budget on our jobs.

What work challenges excite you?

I would say the most challenging and exciting part of my job is finding new ways to ensure we have high-quality finishes while maintaining a budget.

What has been your favorite project?

I have enjoyed many projects over the years! My favorite was probably Macy’s in Tulsa that we did several years ago. At the time, it was the biggest project I had been a part of and still holds the record for one of the largest pours I have participated in. For example, one of the pours on the Macy’s project was close to 70,000 square feet!

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

Most people probably don’t know that I studied criminal justice in college while playing baseball. I started working at Lithko in the summer of 2013. Once I finished school, I realized concrete construction was a career that I wanted to continue pursuing.
