Our Dallas BURG was happy to join forces with The Beck Group for another project at Old Parkland (we worked together on the Old Parkland Campanile in 2021).
This new project includes a below-grade parking garage of approximately 275,000 square feet. The podium (street level) covers the 90,000-square-foot footprint of the garage and is made up of over 6,000 cubic yards of concrete in the slabs and beams, many of which are transferring beams to allow shifting of the columns from the garage to the office levels.
The office above is a skip joist pan slab with a beam structure that is approximately 293,000 square feet of total area, however, each level varies in size and shape from level 2 through the roof. The 3rd floor has tall balcony-type slabs that are supported by 32’ tall 2-diameter round columns.
The project is bound by streets on all four sides, making the need for on-time deliveries a must due to the very limited staging area.
