Our Raleigh BURG worked with Ryan Companies on Project Bronco. This distribution plant includes 1,073,000 square feet of slab on grade, 257,000 square feet of slab on metal deck, and 245,000 square feet of exterior paving.
Scope of work:
- Perimeter/spread/grade beam foundations
- Tilt panels off casting slab
- Interior slab on grade with dock-leveler pits
- Slab on metal deck
- Exterior dock apron
- Exterior dolly pads
- Exterior concrete paving
- Sidewalks
This nine-month-long project involved a number of logistical challenges, including the casting slab location and crane road coordination as well as navigating the foundation/tilt sequence with steel erection. Tight un-shored slab on metal deck tolerances required detailed placement procedures to achieve flatness and absolute elevation requirements. The project team achieved an overall FF/FL of 76.7/45.1 on the warehouse.
Our team also implemented cold weather protection for placing all slab on grade during the winter. Utilizing a Fas-Trak densifier applicator provided even coating and minimal waste when applying densifier on the warehouse slab on grade.
This new building will bring 1,500 new jobs to Fayetteville, NC!
