This multifamily construction project features a cast-in-place concrete podium with 16- to 22-inch-thick transfer slabs supporting wood-framed apartments above. Lithko also recommended shotcrete foundation and detention pond walls as a value-engineered solution, accelerating construction while reducing formwork and labor requirements.

When unexpected subsurface conditions impacted pier drilling, Lithko quickly stabilized the area with flowable fill and re-drilled the foundation pier without disrupting the schedule.
