AC Marriott Bridge Park

Like several other Bridge Park projects, Lithko partnered with Brackett Builders and Crawford Hoying to complete the second AC Marriot in the state of Ohio. Our scope on the unique European inspired 9-story hotel included foundations, 20-30 feet cores, and slab on metal decks. As this is part of a larger development site, with many projects happening at once, a lot of close coordination between all the job sites was necessary.

The schedule on this job was very tight and the team worked very hard to make sure it was met. Lithko brought in a very talented wall crew and they were able to complete cores and foundations within four weeks, two weeks ahead of schedule. Additionally they used separate formwork for each core, so they could be worked on simultaneously. The Project Execution Process was vital to create a schedule that could be maintained for each phase.

Layout was also integral to the project. There are few straight lines in the building and measurements could not be found by a simple tape. Instead it was built off of multiple intersecting radii.  The layout team had to make adjustments as they went, due to the design build aspect of the job.

The hotel is scheduled to open on August 1, 2017.
