This education project featured complex cast-in-place concrete construction, including tall shoring systems, elevated decks, and heavy cantilevers extending 35–40 feet beyond the structure below. Architectural highlights included board-formed concrete finishes and custom cast-in-place “learning stairs” designed for collaborative student spaces.
To support challenging soil conditions and elevated shoring, Lithko implemented engineered stabilization solutions and specialized formwork systems. Originally designed as a steel structure, the project was successfully converted to a more cost-effective cast-in-place concrete system, showcasing expertise in advanced educational facility construction and architectural concrete execution.
