Dallas Forth Worth Airport Terminal Expansion

This DFW Airport infrastructure project featured Texas’ first use of the COBIAX voided slab system, reducing concrete volume by more than 33% while improving structural efficiency, MEP coordination, and sustainability. Lithko also managed over 13,000 cubic yards of mass concrete pier caps under strict thermal control requirements within an active airport environment.

Working under rigorous airport security, QA/QC, and FAA-related protocols, the team implemented advanced BIM coordination, custom thermal control plans, and innovative void-form anchoring solutions to maintain schedule and quality. This project highlights Lithko’s expertise in mission-critical airport construction, mass concrete placement, and complex structural concrete systems.
