Houston Elementary Addition

This elementary school construction project in South Austin featured unique architectural concrete elements, including curved courtyard “Bird Nest” seating and a foam-formed performance stage. Delivered in phased construction, the project required detailed manpower coordination, flexible scheduling, and proactive resequencing to maintain progress despite material delays.

The team developed innovative forming solutions for complex geometry, coordinated structural expansion joints between buildings, and supported the project’s LEED sustainability goals through SRI concrete testing and environmentally focused construction practices.

Enhanced safety planning, including dedicated pour-day monitoring and truck spotters, ensured safe operations within the active school environment while maintaining schedule and quality.
