This airport construction project featured an FAA-regulated slab-on-grade system requiring highly precise sloped concrete placement to ensure proper drainage and prevent water ponding in active aircraft taxi areas. The project also included a large mat foundation supporting a 35,000-square-foot mechanical pit.

Working within an active airport environment required strict FAA security protocols, daily screenings, and constant resequencing around airside operations. Rigorous QA/QC procedures ensured slab elevations and slopes met exact FAA tolerances, while all safety systems and equipment complied with airfield operational standards.
