Nashville Youth Campus for Empowerment (NYCE)

This institutional construction project for a youth correctional facility features complex structural concrete systems, including 10 core walls, multiple active core platforms, dedicated elevator shafts, retaining walls, and reinforced slabs designed to meet strict security and operational requirements.

Extensive rock excavation, record rainfall, and major elevation changes required continuous replanning, lean fill coordination, and daily rock grinding to maintain schedule. The team also implemented enhanced QA/QC procedures for rock anchors to ensure long-term structural integrity.

Achieving LEED Silver certification, the project highlights expertise in institutional concrete construction, complex foundations, and fast-paced structural coordination under challenging site conditions.
