This student housing construction project in downtown Savannah features a concrete podium structure with a below-grade parking garage and one-sided walls formed against a sheet-pile earth retention system. The project’s irregular geometry created complex non-linear slab elevations, requiring detailed layout, reinforcing coordination, and advanced formwork solutions.

Built on a tight urban site between a railroad and residential neighborhood, the team relied on strategic sequencing, forklift hoisting, and innovative bracing methods to maintain schedule and productivity without a tower crane. Rigorous safety coordination and creative concrete placement solutions helped deliver this challenging urban education and multifamily concrete project efficiently and safely.
