The Donnelly College Parking Garage

The Donnelly College Parking Garage is a key component of a $19.5 million campus development project in Wyandotte County, supporting both campus expansion and community growth. Lithko’s scope includes foundations, slab-on-grade, and a cast-in-place elevated deck for the parking structure, as well as upcoming work on a new academic building. 

This institutional concrete construction project presented significant logistical challenges due to a tight site adjacent to an active high school. Just-in-time deliveries and detailed sequencing were critical to maintaining site access and minimizing disruption. 

A major architectural feature includes integral colored concrete, requiring precise formwork, consistent placement, and high-quality finishing to meet aesthetic standards. 

Despite delays from unsuitable soils and winter construction conditions, Lithko accelerated the schedule by optimizing formwork cycles and compressing slab preparation durations, recovering two weeks and keeping the project on track.
