Wake Technical Community College (Wake Tech) in Raleigh, North Carolina is the state’s largest community college, serving more than 70,000 students per year. The college is fully accredited and offers more than 200 associate’s degrees, diplomas and certificates. Wake Tech doesn’t have any on-campus housing, so ample student parking is essential.

The parking deck for Wake Tech consisted of cast-in-place retaining walls, an elevator core shaft and elevated formed decks. We constructed a 264,000-square-foot cast-in-place parking deck, and used heavy-duty formwork systems by MEVA to form walls and six lifts of a cast-in-place elevator core shaft. Five elevated decks, 44,000 square feet per floor, feature the EFCO Cunningham Complete Beam and Slab System.
