Edifice was so impressed with the quality and aggressive schedule we provided on this project, they decided to partner with us on a second project scheduled to start in November of 2015. We met the client expectations by completing the slabs with three laser screed pours at approximately 30,000 square feet each, exceeding the required finishes (FF50, FI35).
We also provided a solution for the elevator core that was originally designed to be precast. It would have been difficult to maintain an aggressive schedule with the original design, because the precast would not have been completed in time for the steel erection scheduled start. We proposed a cast-in-place option that would not only maintain the aggressive schedule, but was also a less expensive option.
The design called for the fountain area to receive a tile-and-paint finish. The client considered leaving this area fully exposed because of the high quality product we provided.
Even during some of the wettest months, we were able to maintain the aggressive schedule.
