1000 Division St

Mixed Use

The mixed-use building under construction at 1000 Division St on a .31-acre tract will include 31 living units in four stories, ground level boutique-style retail and restaurant space, and underground parking. The project is located in the Gulch, an urban mixed-used neighborhood considered one of Nashville, Tennessee’s most competitive markets. Completion is expected in the first quarter of 2016.

Our scope included one level of slab-on-grade, two levels of conventionally reinforced elevated underground cast-in-place parking, a street level elevated concrete slab and a 21-foot-tall concrete podium deck. The podium deck is the main level for the five-story, wood-frame apartment building. The cast-in-place structure contains 2,400 cubic yards of concrete.

Site logistics were extremely tight. Three sides of the project contain busy roadways and high power lines. The fourth side has a building butting up to the property line. A tower crane was required, as there was nowhere to set a mobile one. Concrete material scheduling was also a challenge due to the volume of construction underway in Nashville at the time.

Our piece of the project came in two weeks ahead of schedule and under budget. We worked closely with the general contractor to ensure all permits, equipment and logistics were in place to keep the project moving.
