Multi-Unit Housing

Lithko began work on the approximately 90 unit apartment complex in downtown Columbus, Ohio in late summer of 2016. We were able to be substantially completed within 7 months. The project team generated a detailed schedule and logistics plan which was presented to a Borror Properties, a newer general contracting client, showing them when and where each phase of construction would take place. This also allowed to see the impact of other trade activities. It was important to complete our part on time so the apartments could be open for the annual 4th of July celebration in the city.

The building went  in a small isolated area downtown Columbus creating limited laydown space. The Daily Planning Process helped to coordinate how materials were moved and placed in the small footprint. Deep foundations combined with underground utilities made coordination and logistics key to successfully orchestrating the work within schedule. Lithko provided expertise and guidance as a design assist partner to Borror and our scope included foundations, stair and elevator cores, post tension slab on grade, and slab on metal deck.
