Bennington Middle School

K-12 Education

Lithko and Lueder Construction are partnered to build a new middle school in the Bennington Public School system. The building will house grades six through eight, with a capacity of 750 students. This addition will help support the growth of population in the Bennington area. The school will also serve as a storm shelter for 825 people.

The area where the new school will sit was formerly a farm field, so the water table and soil conditions have posed challenges while installing footings and foundations. Additionally, the winter weather brought on a significant amount of snow, pushing the schedule. The strong partnership Lithko has with Lueder, created during the Customer Plan Presentation, continues on the project with coordination of 2 week look ahead schedules. Through our Project Execution Process, Lithko has been able to show we are a company that always follows through. Cooperation with other trades on site is also boosted due to a weekly subcontractor meeting, hosted by Lueder.  Lithko’s total package scope includes foundations, cast-in-place walls, slab on grade, precast toppings, paving, and sidewalks.
