The Campbell Soup expansion in Maxton, North Carolina not only created more space for soup production, but also provided more employment opportunities for the local community.

Lithko’s scope included footings, walls, deck leveler pits, slab-on-grade and exterior paving. We also provided the footings and slab-on-grade for the water pump house. The slab-on-grade required 12-inch thickness due to the heavy storage racking. We used 1,000+ cubic yards for each slab-on-grade pour.

During the five-month project duration, not only did we encounter heavy rainstorms for two consecutive weeks, but also some logistic challenges. Our concrete supply was serviced out of two different plants, one being 40 minutes away. This did not hinder our execution and we used detailed daily planning to ensure we met the project schedule.
