Dayton Freight
Dayton Freight is currently expanding its one terminal to two. After doing the concrete construction on the first terminal, along with the exterior truck paving, Reiner Construction selected our Lithko Indianapolis team to do the seocnd. We will install 60,00 square feet of a cross dock/logistics terminal, 358,000 square feet of paving, pump house, WIX office building and a 15,600 square foot maintenance building.
Working collaboratively with Renier Construction, our Dayton Freight team exceeded customer expectations. The team faced many challenges, including a long project schedule with a large scope and working during business operations. The project team communicated and planned diligently every day with the other subcontractors to ensure the project moved efficiently and equipment durations were kept under control. Our team planned the pour sequence well in advance and engaged the entire project team on the schedule. Through our DPP, phase planning and Customer Plan Presentation, this project has moved from one phase to the next seamlessly with one crew, minimizing hazards.
Safety is always a priority and our team collaborated on potential safety hazards before the next day’s execution on each phase of work. This raised awareness about other trade’s probable hazards and we were able to mitigate those as well.
