G-Block at Bridge Park
As one of the last undeveloped blocks in a busy and vibrant mixed-use neighborhood, G-Block at Bridge Park will have three buildings, including a five-story office building, four-story parking garage, and five-story condo building.
The office component has two cores and an elevator pit and is a structural steel building with slab on grade and four levels of slab on metal deck. The structure also requires retaining walls and knee walls along with a connector to the garage on each level.
The garage includes unique elevator and stair details. The three-sided elevators went up before the garage along with shear walls that have stairs wrapping around the elevator.
The condos have retaining walls all around and a courtyard with an inground concrete pool with steps and seating. The courtyard is against the garage, which means limited equipment access.
Close coordination with BBI and the city of Dublin has made the logistics achievable to complete slab pours across all three buildings, which sometimes requires closing down streets or pouring early in the morning to minimize disruptions to the surrounding businesses and residents.
