Large Scale Office Facility
Recently Lithko Contracting’s Dallas Burg was selected to deliver a fast-paced large-scale office facility in the rapidly expanding Plano Office Park. Lithko’s work included constructing a 600,000 square foot 12 story post tension pan deck superstructure with deep foundations, grade beams, columns, loading dock, elevator pits, polished concrete slabs, topping slabs, and pan stairs.
The aggressive plan for the schedule set by the team required the superstructure to be topped out in 28 weeks. Lithko successfully delivered the project on schedule with support from the tremendous team assembled by Balfour Beatty and KDC Real Estate Development. Lithko’s onsite team chose a flying truss form system to support the elevated cast in place pan decks. Additionally, the team chose to attach the pan forms directly to the truss tables in order to reduce forming time and mitigate safety risks associated with traditional forming methods for post tensioned pan decks. Working closely with the general contractor, the owner’s representative, and the other trade partners, Lithko delivered the concrete structure on time, with zero recordable incidents, and with the quality the team is proud to stake their reputation on.
