Scope of work:

Lithko’s Dallas team was responsible for a 550,000-square-foot spec warehouse with tilt panels as well as site work, including 421,000 square feet of paving and 28,000 square feet of sidewalks. It took four months to complete our scope of work on the warehouse and three months to complete the site work.

Unique challenges:

The surge in demand for ready-mix concrete in Texas in 2021 led to supply concerns from raw material and ready-mix suppliers throughout the duration of this project. The project team successfully navigated this constraint to limit the impact on the overall timeline. Despite the scheduling challenges presented, the building was turned over to the owner by the original target date.

Community impact:

This structure further develops warehousing capacity in Lancaster, TX, which helps create additional jobs and infrastructure improvements in the southeast Dallas region.

Process highlights:

Open communication and collaborative planning were key to helping the Lithko project team navigate the various challenges presented during the project. In addition, the project provided key development opportunities for several coworkers who were either new to Lithko or moving into new roles.
