OhioHealth Administrative Office Building
OhioHealth is expanding their Columbus campus with a new office that will support 1,600 associates. The project will include 2 buildings with a connecting corridor, in which Lithko will install the foundations, walls, and slab on metal deck.
During our upfront planning process, we identified a way to save time on the schedule. By coordinating with the Engineer and Steel Erector, we determined there wasn’t a need to brace the foundation wall for backfill.
The slabs will be made with structural lightweight concrete and will be placed during the winter months. Structural light weight concrete has a lower overall cost, an increased fire resistance and insulation properties. Our team will utilize our detailed daily preparation process to monitor the air content during these winter placements to ensure quality is being achieved.
