OSU University Commons

University Commons is the newest housing unit on the Oklahoma State University campus, with space for over 2,700 students. Each building features a unique architectural element reflecting the Stillwater, Oklahoma landscape, while still maintaining the modified Georgian design that is unique to the campus.

The 265,000-square-foot project included three identical, five-story, cast-in-place structures on a very tight site, with minimal access and laydown. The project team chose a strategic approach to hoisting and material movement by approaching it on a concurrent building floor cycle. This provided better access to other trades, ultimately saving six weeks of schedule.
