Project Condor
Project Condor is a massive warehouse for a large e-commerce company that will help build and bring jobs to the West Jefferson community. Lithko’s scope includes foundations, slab on grade, slab on metal deck, paving and sitework.
Fast- paced schedule, constant evolving design changes and particular building elements creates challenges that make anticipatable planning a must. Even with a foundation schedule push, our team knocked out 500 yards per day and completed the foundations two weeks early. Using our planning methods, we decreased our pour schedule from 12-hour to 8-hour days while keeping the same number of placements.
Due to the high volume of packaging and palletizing robots, careful execution and unique testing is required to get the right finish while achieving high tolerances on the slabs. On this project, performance supersedes shine to avoid issues with the robots’ interactions with the floors. With columns standing every 25 feet and a clearance of only 9 feet between floors, we had to rework our placement plan to fit our laser screed. Rather than line pumping, we switched to dumper buggies and adjusted the grade poles on the laser screed to as low as they could go, which proved to be a success!
