The District at City Center

Mixed Use

The District has a total of 8 buildings including luxury apartments, office, and retail.  The design build project will fill a void in the Lenexa office and retail market. We are building both phases and our scope includes foundations, slab on grade, slab on metal deck, structural deck, topping slabs for the parking garages and sitework.

With both phases going on simultaneously, we planned this project with detail from the beginning to the end utilizing our Project Execution Processes.  We made sure to have constant coordination and communication with other trades and vendors to ensure correct sequence and on-time deliveries.

Due to the design build component, our team has had to be flexible. The design for the garage requires a fiber mesh concrete mix with no saw cuts. Aesthetically, the owner is unsure of this look and we ended up providing a mock-up slab for the Architect. Our team has been very diligent in keeping up with multiple RFI’s to ensure we have the most up to date project information.

The District will be complete and open to the public sometime in the first quarter of 2019.
